Job Description

Service Design & Transition Senior Manager

As a Service Design & Transition Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the development, evolution, lifecycle management and implementation of the network delivery strategy and service portfolio. This will enable leverage to the operational performance of utilising strategic and local partners to deliver core network infrastructure.

Working as a critical business partner, you will ensure strong engagement across all key internal stakeholders is managed efficiently. You will incorporate their insight and needs into the service portfolio and ensure our strategic and local partners are engaged at every level. It is vital our partners feel part of the organisation and we work closely with them to achieve our company goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Continually evolve the core network sourcing strategy by working with internal stakeholders and partners to produce and maintain an operating model, supplier service portfolio, business processes and organisational structure.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and partners to manage the service portfolio to be delivered including developing the required service offering, value, business case, catalogues, service levels, technical and security standards, business processes, governance framework, BSS and OSS systems.
  • Lifecycle manage the service portfolio in a controlled environment, ensuring that the pipeline of introductions and existing service catalogue updates, additions and removals are owned, tracked and managed.
  • Lead the production of business cases and cost benefit analysis of new capabilities or variations to the existing service catalogues, provide input to budget planning, service economics and continually review and seek opportunities for cost reduction opportunities
  • Establish a framework of performance measurement and governance that enables the delivery teams, operations and other key stakeholders to work together to continuously review and manage performance within the contractual frameworks
  • Successfully manage the introduction of a new or a change to a service catalogue item, or the retirement of an existing item, by defining and executing a plan that delivers the required organisational capabilities including process, standards, systems, governance frameworks, security and organisation

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant experience in service design, technical governance, partner and financial experience gained within a large commercial environment
  • Preferable to hold a relevant accreditation in ITIL v3 Certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to form strong business relationships across multiple locations
  • Strong vendor management experience. Expertise in driving operational efficiencies through innovative partner and vendor management
  • Experience of project management techniques including transition planning & delivery, resource allocation, prioritisation and escalation

Nice to have:

  • Deep understanding and experience of relevant technologies and systems
  • Strong record of stakeholder management in a technical environment, including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
