Exciting new role for a leading telco company in Berkshire.

The Role:

Urgent requirement for an IT Security Manager who will lead and take responsibility for all security issues within IT estate and take responsibility for driving through to resolution security issues that arise and provide security assurance for IT projects.

What you can expect to be doing:

• Be responsible for all security related matters within the Corporate IT estate and have responsibility to assure security for the Enterprise estate
• Identify IT security issue and create opportunities for execution through governance.
• Be responsible for the security and risk governance in the IT domain
• Be responsible for appropriate risk treatment and reduction of security risk, ensure our suppliers and MSPs appropriately manage risk on our behalf
• Actively promote good security behaviours and drive the company and its suppliers to improve their security posture
• Lead the technical assurance of the Corporate IT domain
• Ensure suppliers are driven to meet the security objectives and that of our shareholders
• Pro-actively propose and gain support for resolutions to security issues.
• Ensure that IT projects are properly assessed for security i.e. the design takes account of security issues and the delivery implements that design fully.
• Manage suppliers to propose and deliver secure solutions to meet the required business outcomes.

What we are looking for:

• Experience of security issues and expectations in an IT environment, and the associated risks and mitigations

• Good spoken and written communication and documentation skills
• Strong technical team leadership skills
• Enthusiastic approach, self-starter and independent worker

Background: a broad range covering both enterprise and corporate domains. Strong technical background required with the ability to manage a large volume of outsourced suppliers ensuring SLAs are met.

Someone who has demonstrated process improvements and implementation of new processes in a similar.

Telco experience is great but also candidates from a Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Rail, Aerospace background would be suitable. Also interested in IT Security Managers from the finance sector too.
