Infrastructure and Connectivity Technical Design Authority

Job Purpose:

To design and implement infrastructure and robust connectivity solutions for the benefit of the company and its share-holders

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that IT infrastructure and connectivity designs and implementation meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the project commissioning the design work
2. Estimate design effort accurately
3. Proactively develop awareness of relevant technology trends
4. Liaise effectively with strategic suppliers and managed service providers
5. Adhere to the IT standards, enterprise architecture and roadmap
6. Manage the entire life-cycle of IT platforms within the role's scope e.g. from tendering for new platforms to managing end of life
7. Ensure that the company receives good value for money by monitoring MSP and supplier spend
8. Ensure that all IT platforms are properly managed from a development perspective

Job Requirements:

• Experience as Solution Designer
• Experience of helping to deliver IT projects to the complete satisfaction of stake-holder
• Exceptional understanding of Infrastructure and connectivity Architecture design concept
• Exceptional understanding and UANs (User Access Networks) and DCNs (Data connectivity Networks
• General OSS experience

Nice to have experience:

• BSS in the mobile telecoms sector
• OSS in telecoms
• Knowledge of mobile telecoms organisational hierarchy
