Build Manager - Mobile Telecoms - 6 months rolling - Start ASAP - Berkshire

Exciting opportunity to work with a leading mobile operator on a fast paced vendor swap programme!

Largely home based but with a requirement to be in the Reading office up to 1 day per week.

The Build Manager will be required to work on a Vendor swap project. They will report to the Build Delivery Manager and be accountable for managing two suppliers from approval of build costs and pre build dependencies through to Build Complete and Fault clear.

Outline scope:

• Working on a fast paced, high profile swap programme and reporting to the Build Delivery Manager you will be responsible for sites throughout the build lifecycle: From Build Cost approval to Built and fault free
• You will work closely with the Build Delivery Manager, who has overall accountability for the build phase, and the Activation Team to ensure that sites are planned in accordance with company processes and resource allocated as necessary
• You will manage two suppliers directly and be responsible for their delivery

Experience/skills:

• You need to be able to hit the ground running and will have demonstrable experience in a similar role in the mobile telecommunications industry
• Experience managing small works contractors directly to deliver rollout targets to budget and plan
• Sufficient technical experience to be able to support the supplier with problem solving.
• Ericsson hardware knowledge is a bonus.
• Understanding of cross functional dependencies where they relate to the build phase of a site
• Exceptional attention to detail and data management (including data input to tools and systems)
• Perseverance to overcome challenges
• Attitude is everything , you must be a team player with a strong desire to get the job done.
