Planned Works Governance Manager - Permanent

We are looking for a Planned Works Governance Manager to join the Change Management department who are responsible for coordinating all planned work on the MBNL Estate

Role Purpose
Govern the activities of 3rd Parties working on the MBNL network to ensure they abide by MBNL's process & procedures ensuring maximum network availability and minimising network impact to shareholders customers due to planned works.

The role

  • Scheduling/leading and chairing 3rd Party Governance meetings with all Small Works Contractors (SWC), Managed Service Partners (MSP) & the Shareholders
  • Minimising planned works impact on network availability by recommendations on implementation plan reviews or temporary asset deployment.
  • Ensuring Joint Venture / Unilateral governance rules are enforced, confirming or challenging if existing processes are delivering MBNL AOP objectives
  • Acting as the technical escalation point for Change management acting as the subject matter expert
  • Contribute to strategic improvements by improving the overall efficiency and quality of the Change / Planned work process
  • Be the Focal Point for coordinating resolution of all Failed Planned Works and identifying / implementing process improvements
  • Ensuring the Change / FPW data provided by the Ryder MSP is accurate enabling financial decisions with suppliers
  • Highlight and drive improvements in Change Execution and associated processes
  • Set up and manage a regular feedback process to ensure MSP/ SWC behaviours / adherence to MBNL processes for both shared & unilateral programmes
  • Ensuring any escalations on the MBNL estate which have been caused by planned works are investigated, resolved and suitable measures are put in place to prevent future occurrence.
  • Reducing and agreeing final charges for FPW with the Ryder MSP.
  • Deputising for MBNL Change Manger when required. .Representing the Change team within MBNL and externally with MSP's/ SWC's , suppliers and Shareholder meetings and forums.

Must Have

  • Must have proven experience of Incident/Service Management, in a Telecoms related role.
  • Technical understanding of RAN essential.
  • Excellent Communication skills (Written and Oral) - Especially around questioning
  • Good computer and software package knowledge - Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies and practices.

Nice to Have

  • Should have experience of Service Management tools
