COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST - CONTRACT- HYBRID - READING

Commercial Finance Analyst
Fully Qualified (ACCA|ACA|CIMA)
Reading- Hybrid

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Analysts primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely postings of Month End activities, Budgets, Forecasts and Financial Planning as well as highlighting areas of continuous improvement. The Analyst will have end-to-end ownership of their areas and be responsible for the analysis of large and complex data sets, month end accounting, forecasting of the key metrics and liaising with extended teams internally and externally.

Financial Accounting

  • Post and review the monthly transactions during the month-end cycle.
  • Perform and support reviews of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage the delivery of monthly financial data to enable successful completion of financial reporting.
  • Support audit queries as required.

Reporting and analysis, forecasting and business partnering

  • Be responsible for production of 5-year plans, reforecasting and requisite analysis
  • Prepare the monthly Management Accounts and provide insightful commentary
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Financial management.
  • Help Improve financial status by analysing results, monitor and report variances and identify trends.
  • Review, measure and remediate data and propose appropriate remedial or re-enforcing actions.
  • Provide day to day and ad hoc financial support and analysis as required.

Experience (technical, industry)

  • A professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Financial accounting knowledge and experience of managing relationships
  • Strong Commercial and Stakeholder Management skills

Skills / Knowledge

  • Financial accounting knowledge and experience of managing relationships
  • Able to understand and interpret complex data sets
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • Clear communicator - written and oral
  • Proficient excel skills essential, Power BI skills would be beneficial
  • Team player
