Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer

We are looking for a Senior infrastructure design engineer to support MBNL in driving good cost-effective design on specific sites and feeding in any product, guidance or Process developments to achieve that goal. The successful candidate will have strong telecommunications industry experience and will have the expertise to manage 3rd party suppliers to ensure that the solutions meet the required standards.

The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Infrastructure Design, you will be responsible for supporting the Site Assurance team by ensuring designs on shared infrastructure are appropriate

What you can expect to be doing:

• Develop site solutions which provide value to the shareholders
• Collaborate with shareholders to clarify their technical requirements and guide them on appropriate design solutions
• Address end of life issues and support the Health & Safety team with any risks that require mechanical, electrical or enclosure support
• Detailed knowledge of design guides and ability to clearly communicate them
• Support design seminars

What we are looking for:

• Experience of working as a Designer within a telecoms network
• HND or equivalent in Engineering
• Current full driving licence
• Working knowledge of Office 365 including Visio
• Evidence of technical document authoring
