Senior Data Centre Strategy Manager - an opportunity has arisen to join a well-known, well-respected communications company at an exciting time as they continue to expand their network across the UK and Europe! We are looking for a senior level strategic and commercially minded manager who has been responsible for managing data centres on a large scale.

Reporting into the Data Centre Director you will be responsible for:

• Managing the relationships to enable the regional and local data centre strategies, architecture and roadmaps to evolve with the growing needs of the business
• Maintain macro environmental, supplier and industry awareness to make informed strategy formulation mapping and maintaining the global current state of view of the regional data centre capabilities
• Produce and continually evolve the regional data centre strategy, architectures and policies to ensure there is the critical site infrastructure in place to support the demands of the business whilst optimising country footprint and employing architectures that deliver the required technical performance whilst yielding the best possible cost of ownership
• Identify, evaluate and select technical site power, cooling and site infrastructure suppliers and technologies needed to ensure technical performance, operational and financial benefits
• Produce and maintain regional data centre roadmaps and high level plans that are employed to drive the evolution of the data centre technical site capabilities

About you:

• Experience operating at a senior level in a similar role
• Commercially and strategically minded
• Specific experience within a technical role - data centre - air conditioning, electric and/or power plants/infrastructure
• Significant experience in engineering / architecture gained within a large commercial environment
• Deep understanding and experience of relevant technologies and systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to form strong business relationships across multiple locations
• Proven experience in analysing, assessing and resolving complex technology requirements, problems and issues
• Be able to demonstrate strong influencing and persuading skills
