Project Accountant

Project People are currently partnered with a leading mobile infrastructure organisation and have an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to join them on a contract basis.

Your responsibilities as the Project Accountant will include;

• Proactively work with key contacts across the business to clear down outstanding POs, understanding the sensitivities involved in terms of both business and financial impact.
• Support the Financial Controller to ensure the PO process is being managed in line with company controls. Help to develop and enhance the company's P2P control framework as required.
• Work collaboratively across the business to ensure the PO process is working as effectively and efficiently as possible.
• To support and contribute actively to health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting surrounding the PO process to track improvements over time, working with the Financial Controller to set realistic targets for the PO reduction exercise and to achieve these goals.

The ideal Project Accountant for this role will have;

• Solid technical finance knowledge and experience.
• Good understanding of best practice governance and controls surrounding P2P processes.
• Full/Part-qualification with CIMA / ACCA.
• Ability to work accurately and under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Excel skills, excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
