Oracle expert and a SQL generalist, this 4th Line Systems Engineer is part of a team responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to a delivered system.

This Systems Engineer, as part of a larger 4th Line Engineering support team, will provide specialist support for the whole solution with particular emphasis on Oracle and SQL Server databases.

They will also provide technical support to issues raised by the Support Service, be responsible for the investigation and delivery of defect resolutions through Engineering in to the Production Environment without impacting the Live service, delivering engineering changes to time and quality and be responsible for following the engineering lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills Required:

• Oracle Subject Matter Expert.
• Be capable of producing concise install documentation.
• Oracle Database 10/11/12
• Windows Oracle 12c expertise and experience in performance optimisation and problem diagnosis using Oracle, TOAD and other tools in a secure production environment
• Windows Server 2012/2008
• Windows 7 / Vista Desktop

• Server Failure Debugging

Desirable Skills Required:

• SQL Server Database
• SQL Server 2005/2008/2012

Be able to demonstrate an understanding of some of:

Windows 2008/R2, Windows Vista/7, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, HP Client Automation (Radia), VMWare - experience operating in a virtualised (VMware) Windows environment, McAfee products, Lumension Products, Windows Installer, IP / Firewall technologies, Windows Clustering, HP Service Manager, HP Protect Tools, Sanctuary Application and Device Control, HP Storage Solutions and SAN Technologies, Advanced IP Networking , VSphere 5.0, Microsoft Office Applications
