IT Strategy Consultant - Infrastructure & Digital Transformation

6 Month + Contract

Witney Oxfordshire

IT Strategy Consultant - This is a senior level role, working with the Head of IT on my clients' future strategy which will support their major digital transformation. We are looking for someone who has worked in strategic / Consultant or Senior/'Head of' level roles, managing infrastructure and digital transformations for a multi-site, international business.

Initially your role will be to review the existing infrastructure to determine if it is fit for purpose and can cope with the ambitious development and growth plans to enable my client to become a truly digital business.

Experience managing an infrastructure, end user systems, digital transformation programme across international multi-site locations experience is essential.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Disaster Recovery
  • Software Maintenance/Improvement
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an IT related discipline e.g. BSc Computer Science, MSCE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
  • Experience of maintaining a Windows domain environment in excess of 750 users (e.g. heavily using Active Directory OUs, distribution groups, Group Policy)
  • Experience of working in a multi-location, multi-national IT environment
  • Demonstrate a high level of leadership
  • Excellent communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills to build trusted relationships with internal management
  • Very Strong IT infrastructure knowledge with particular focus on the technologies listed above
  • Experience of operating at a senior level within IT
  • A thorough understanding of networking (Cisco), IT infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and VoIP telephony
  • A high degree of commercial awareness
  • Strong and confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of managing a team
  • Experience of a multi-location, international operation
  • Experience of managing IT change and implementing strategy
  • Extremely organised and able to work towards deadlines
  • Possesses a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
  • A self-starter with a 'technical hands-on' approach
