Internal Audit Manager

Berkshire (6 Month Contract)

The Company:

A leading Telecoms company, who operate in an agile, customer driven and agile environment. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join the team on an initial 6 month contract basis.

Role Context & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Risk & Compliance the Internal Audit Manager will coordinate internal audit activities, interface with GMS to provide input into their audit planning process (using a risk-based approach), and define and deliver supplementary audit activities to be carried out.

You will also:

• Work with the Risk Business Partners and Compliance team identify high risk areas that require audit focus
• Define and develop the internal audit plan, identifying gaps based on the GMS audit scope and risk based audit prioritisation
• Co-ordinate the overall audit process, supporting audit preparation, co-ordinating the gathering of inputs and managing the dissemination of outputs
• Lead a team of specialists to manage internal audit activities across the business supporting in the identification and monitoring of risks and issues raised and supporting the owners on their closure or mitigation.
• Act as the point of liaison with the Group Management Services Internal Audit function Contributes to the definition and implementation of new controls, and for documenting and testing existing controls for effectiveness and adequacy and recommending improvements where necessary.

Experience Required:

• Must have previous Internal Audit experience, ideally gained within the Telco / IT / Tech or FMCG industries
• Must at least one Audit Qualification or Certification
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analysis and reporting experience
