Infrastructure Architect

Infrastructure Architect - Server Technologies - Reading - Contract - 6 Months

Project people are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Architect to join one of the key players within the telecommunications space. The purpose of this role is to work on transformation of core network from their current to fully virtualised cloud based servers.

Key requirements/ experience of:

• Delivering infrastructure solution in order to meet the business needs and requirements
• Working understanding of Cloud Orchestration and automation technologies
• Ability to interface, influence and negotiate with third party managed service partners
• Formulating and deploying processes and procedures to improve the infrastructure technology and delivery
• Experience of server infrastructure deliveries, including:

Hardware Technologies (Compute + Storage)

Server operating systems such as Microsoft, RHEL

Database Technologies such as Oracle, MongoDB

Virtualisation technology such as VMWare, KVM

• Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure technology fundamentals including

Server hardware technology

Storage technology such as CEPHs, SAN

Cloud services such as IaaS, PaaS

Virtualisation technologies such as VMWare, KVM, containerisation

Server OS and Database technologies
