HEAD OF REVENUE & PROPERTY FINANCE

CONTRACT

I have an exciting opportunity to work as a Head of Revenue & Property Finance for a telecommunications company based in Theale.

The Head of Revenue & Property Finance will act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel with primary responsibility of ensuring we understand and effectively manage the key Revenue and Property costs that are at the heart of our business, seeking out opportunities for growth and mitigating risks.

This will be achieved through SLT business partnering for the function and ensuring the efficient operation and continuous working is in place to meet the overarching business strategy.

The Head of Revenue & Property Finance will oversee a team of finance professionals in managing all financial aspects of Cornerstones Revenue and Property Opex which are key measures of our operating performance.

The Head of Revenue & Property Finance will hold business accountability for the completion of month end accounting, forecasting of the key metrics, liaison with our senior shareholders and managing the finance aspects of the outsourced property estates management contracts.

Responsibilities of the Head of Revenue & Property Finance also include:

Financial Accounting

  • Budget accountability for: Revenues of £450m & Property costs of £265m
  • Accountable for the timely and accurate billing of all our services to the Anchor tenants and other 3rd parties. Providing appropriate detailed supporting back up as required.
  • Ownership of the tracking and resolution of billing queries raised, liaising with BI and other business functions as required.
  • Ownership of the delivery of Estates monthly financial data to enable successful completion of financial reporting.
  • Ownership of the monthly Property & Revenue finance cost transactions during the month-end cycle to identify unexpected entries or omissions in the results.
  • Oversee the performance of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations process, ensuring the accuracy of IFRS16 lease accounting.

Reporting and analysis, forecasting and business partnering

Drive accurate forecasting of future financials on a rolling basis by developing a thorough understanding of the relationship between business activities and drivers of Revenue & Property opex.

Accountable for the consistency between Property opex costs, Capex investment and Revenue recognition, through appropriate KPI measures, including site type & location margin analysis.

Prepare and review the Revenue analysis & Property opex section of the monthly Management Accounts and provide insightful commentary. Identify and propose appropriate remedial or re-enforcing actions.

Work with the finance team to ensure all data is submitted on an accurately and timely basis

Undertake investment appraisal of Property estates initiatives, including new sites, renewals, disposals and NTQ's.

Be a frequent, trusted advisor to the CFO & General Counsel.

Finance Operations

Accountable for the delivery of site related billing and lease information, driving accuracy and time bound billing in collaboration with our BI function.

Ownership of the finance aspects of the Property outsource and key vendor contracts for rent and rates to ensure satisfactory service levels are delivered

Work with key strategic partners to establish, implement, improve and maintain Best Practice financial processes, systems and controls over the Revenue & Property expenditure, including the remediation of any control weaknesses identified

The successful Head of Revenue & Property Finance will have:

  • Financial accounting knowledge and experience of managing relationships
  • Property industry experience
  • Finance business partnering experience
  • Agresso ERP application software
  • Professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Educated to degree level
