Job Description

Consultant- Product Management

Context

The role is responsible for exploring, developing and executing parts of specific product groups and/or partnerships together with the Senor Consultant - Product Management to achieve the annual margin & NPS targets and our longer term growth targets. The ability to learn and develop quickly and being adaptable is key for this role. The role works closely with both external partners and internal teams. This role works specifically on traditional telco payment services (from premium services to carrier billing) and finds innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction and profitability.

Main Description

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for developing and executing the strategy/plan for specific product groups and/or partnerships to achieve the annual margin & NPS targets and our longer term growth targets. The role works closely with internal teams and external parties.

Responsibilities

Marketing Develops a go to market brief for significant aspects of a product and approve go to market activity.

Trends & Needs Assessment Uncovers emerging needs and/or issues and identifies potential causes, related trends, issues and risks.

Compliance Highlights shortcomings and suggests improvements in current compliance processes, systems and procedures within assigned product area.

Product Manages the development and/or delivery of a particular group of products, and /or partnerships within the larger product strategy.

Budgeting & Costing Develops and/or delivers budget plans for own area with guidance from senior colleagues.

Partner Management Manages key partner relationships, sometimes using account teams to ensure required delivery, their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty toward the organisation.

Technical Skills

Business Case Development Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to guide others on developing business cases to support product initiatives.

Costing and Budgeting Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently on costing, budgeting and finance tasks while providing guidance and training to others.

Products / Services Management and Development Works without supervision on managing and developing all aspects of a group of products and/or partnerships so that it achieves its maximum impact and value in the market.

Commercial Acumen Acts independently to apply comprehensive understanding of the business environment and objectives developing solutions while providing guidance and training to others.

Customer and Market Analysis Commissions research and analyses data without supervision in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer and market conditions that enables maximum return on investments.

Planning and Organising Works without supervision on planning, organising, prioritising and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives. Communication Uses clear and effective communications skills on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Education General Education University (Degree) or equivalent job experience. Experience General Experience Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. Managerial Experience Experience of general supervision of more junior colleagues.
