Site Design Engineer - Telecoms - CAD

Lead innovation and ideation of new enclosure product solutions.

Liaise with enclosure manufacturers to develop new enclosure solutions for customers, seeking to maximise value to the business.

Review products with operators and vendors frequently to ensure they are performing as required and collate and feedback into design variations which are fed back to the manufacturers.

Attend thermal testing and First Site Installations (FSI's) to ensure development is accurate and sufficient, provide/collate feedback and sign off on products.

Produce engineering documentation including Company guidance and standard drawings.

Act as initial point of contact for escalations regarding passive enclosure products.

Support hardware team generally on Process and adherence, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.

Oversee production and ongoing revisions to Drawing Requirement documentation, and continually seek to improve ways of working with regards to drawings and the information contained therein. Ensure changes are communicated to Design Suppliers.

Act as point of contact for any queries regarding drawing standards.

Promote consistency between design suppliers by providing CAD templates, including drawings and equipment "blocks," and providing drawing benchmark examples.

Ensure Code Agreement Drawing requirements are captured in Cornerstone documentation, liaise with Code team to ensure drawings include requisite information.

Review and provide feedback on Code Drawings from a technical "drawing" perspective.

Essentials Skills

• Strong AutoCAD skills - someone who is able to act at a managerial level when it comes to CAD, i.e. setting standards and acting in the capacity of design authority.
• Telecoms background (ideally site design, but will consider people who are more focussed on Electrical/Civil/Structural as well)
• This person would check majority of the designs and have responsibility for quality control
• Good knowledge of Telecomms Infrastructure and ADC suppliers
