Spares/Inventory Specialist

We're looking for a Spares/Inventory Specialist to take ownership of spares management across our transmission and passive infrastructure. You'll make sure the right parts are available, used efficiently, repaired where possible, and replaced smartly, directly improving network resilience, cost control, and supplier performance.
What the Spares/Inventory Specialist will do:
- Manage day‑to‑day spares operations and planning
- Track supply/demand and raise purchase orders
- Maintain accurate spares plans and stock levels
- Drive supplier performance and lead recovery actions
- Reduce cost and waste through repair loops and smarter planning
- Manage obsolescence, disposal, and BER processes
- Use data and incident insights to improve spares demand and performance
- Support new product introduction and proactive replacement programmes
- Ensure strong governance, safety compliance, and cross‑team collaboration
The successful Spares/Inventory Specialist will have:
- Strong experience in spares or inventory management
- Solid understanding of operational best practice
- Proven supplier‑performance management
- Analytical, forecasting, and problem‑solving skills
- Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building
- Continuous‑improvement mindset
Bonus: experience with transmission/passive infrastructure, remote supplier management, or joint‑venture environments.
