The Role:

The role exists to assure the quality of the services we offer to our customers, both in terms of introducing new capabilities as well as changes to existing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To define and establish the project/programmes test strategy and policies.
  • The role requires the QA & Test planning, providing expertise throughout the entire portfolio. You will be leading the QA & Test delivery for multiple projects, being able to manage priorities and set expectations of senior business owners.
  • A strong sense of quality ownership is essential, making sure that quality is baked in and governed from the start of any change
  • You will be responsible for creating, managing and executing the test strategy for projects incorporating the involvement of 3rd party partners/suppliers and internal teams. You will ensure traceability back to the original requirements and subsequent execution of the relevant tests including reviewing 3rd party test exit reports to achieve the quality outcome for the business.
  • Managing senior stakeholder expectations, work across the whole delivery team and business area to build trusted relationships to ensure quality across the portfolio. Engage and influence stakeholders to adopt the most appropriate test strategy for their project and assist them in executing the test strategy to ensure a quality deliverable is achieved that meets their needs.
  • The creation and embedding of an overarching test approach for all designated workstreams. Each project is different, so the approach needs to flexible to the project's objectives.
  • Creation of the project test strategies and test plans for the designated projects in the work stream.
  • Ensuring all development / change tasks within the programs meet quality criteria through traceability to requirements, test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking. Setting of test entry and exit criteria and ensuring that they are met prior to sign-off.
  • To assist in testing during delivery and close to go live as needed for major programmes. This could include writing and executing Test Scripts and assisting with User Acceptance Testing.

Background:

  • Minimum of 5+ year's related experience in QA & Test Management in software implementation projects both Agile and Waterfall.
  • Demonstrable skills in Supplier Management, Risk & Issue Management, Testing Tools, DevOps Methodologies, Dependency Management and management of teams
  • Ideally experienced with defining and managing Quality Assurance in a Telecommunications or IT Business.
  • Would be an advantage if they have experience of testing middleware platforms to exchange data between internal/external parties.
