Storage Integrator

3 Responsibilities

Responsible for the integration of commercial and bespoke applications and operating systems;
*This involves the installation and configuration of software and hardware in a locked-down environment, both to workstations and servers, following designs where applicable, and the scripting of such an installation to ensure unattended installation by less skilled teams or automated deployment on multiple (perhaps thousands of) machines.

Responsible for integration/scripting of applications/products/solutions within defined task timescales.
*Support with testing activities to achieve product/system release within task timescales.
*Perform work in accordance with documented procedures.
*Provide timely feedback of progress and issues to the Integration Lead.
*Investigate & resolve incidents identified internally or by the customer.
*For other tasks as requested by the Integration Lead.
*Assess the technical impact of any proposed changes.
*Work with the Architect community to verify that each component of a change installs successfully.
*Ensure that the changes are consistent and work together to achieve the expected result.
*Ensure that the system is not adversely affected by the changes.

• Adhere to the appropriate Project standards and procedures.
  *Provide development environment support including patching, maintenance and backup/recovery. *Reports To: Integration Lead
  *Direct Reports: None
  *Key Collaborations and Engagements: Infrastructure Project Manager, Architects, Infrastructure Solution Owner, Programme Manager, SCOM Architect, Enterprise Management Delivery Team

Key Performance Indicators

Mandatory Skills
*Demonstrable experience of updating and implementing LUNs
*Demonstrable experience of creating, updating and monitoring backups
*Demonstrable experience of Snap Mirror
*Strong scripting skills, particularly using PowerShell, batch scripts and VB scripts.
*Demonstrate experience of at least 3 of the following technologies listed below:
*Installation, configuration and manipulation of Microsoft Operating systems: Server 2016.
*Demonstrable experience of Active Directory and Group Policy configuration.
*Demonstrable experience of integrating virtualisation offerings based upon Hyper-V.
*Installation and configuration of Server Databases SQL 2016, including use of Always on clustering
Desirable Skills
*Experience of implementing Kelverion systems center adapter
*Experience of implementing Cireson asset manager
*Experience of implementing Athene Metron
*Experience of implementing Tenable Nessus
*Experience of implementing SoapUI and Load UI testing software
*Experience of implementing Elux thin clients / Scout thin management solution
*Experience of implementing SILK central test manager
*Networking certification (CISCO or Juniper).
