Job Description

*SC Cleared Desktop Support (Active Directory Support Engineer) 6 month contract. Wakefield- local candidates only . Shift Work

Shifts: 8:00am - 4:30pm & 10:30pm -7:00am (contractors work night shift 1 in every 3 weeks)

The role holder will resolve escalations from other team members and will have a good knowledge of their working area, processes and required technical skills.

Key Accountability

* Fully able to support routine technical queries related to a single product/small set of products (e.g. Microsoft products, operating system, basic networking, PCs) and able to support less experienced team members

* Documents actions taken in resolving routine customer enquiries ensuring established processes/systems are followed.
* Takes ownership for listening to and understanding customer problems asking relevant questions to resolve typically known problems within required timescales. Knows when problems need to be further escalated to ensure satisfactory resolution.
*Escalates issues as necessary to deliver required service level and meet or exceed customer expectations/Service Level Agreements. Monitors performance through statistical reporting and analysis.

  • Active Directory - low level changes using ServiceNow
  • Active Directory experience - (to include: creating groups, adding/removing users, enabling/disabling user accounts, creating share folders, creating distribution lists)

**Candidates should have at least 2 years left on their SC Clearance. Home Office clearance preferred if possible.
