Job Description

SQL Developer (Testing, SQL Scripts, Data Validation, Payments, Transactions) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company for an initial 2 months initial contract, to be based remotely from home, UK (UK only), with 2 days minimum on client site in Coventry, West Midlands. Candidates must be able to work on site in Coventry, West Midlands for 2 days a week minimum.

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Must be a Developer, with a strong vertical in SQL development
  • A large part of the role will be writing complex SQL scripts. Able to write and demonstrable experience of writing complex SQL scripts to investigate issues.
  • Must have strong Data validation experience
  • Large complex Data testing
  • Previous experience dealing with very large volume of transactions/payments
  • Must be a SQL Developer
  • Must be on site in Coventry 2 days a week minimum.
  • The position requires strong DB Testing experience.
  • Extensive experience of investigating issues
  • The successful applicant will be a SQL Developer with testing experience.
  • Required Technical Skills: Advanced SQL and RDBMS
  • Experience in writing Test plans, Test cases, and reporting Defects.
  • Knowledge of JIRA or similar tool
  • Must have extensive and recent experience of writing complex SQL scripts
  • Strong database testing experience
  • Extensive expertise with QA Deliverables tool set - (Jira and Microsoft Office especially Excel).
  • Strong background in Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with release management of Azure DevOps/Pipelines and version control
  • Strong Automation experience in Selenium-C# with Database and API testing experience
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data manipulation experience
  • Prior experience in payments domain
  • Understanding of complex Business processes
  • Experience in data migration testing
