Solaris/UNIX Support Engineer - PERMANENT

Location: Basingstoke

You'll provide Infrastructure and Core Application support on-site and remotely to deployed sites (PoPs/Nodes) across all domains within the MLS system. & be responsible for the day to day management of escalated incidents adhering to contractural KPI's and SLA's for resolution. You'll also provide technical input and impacting of Service and Change Requests, Problem Management and Configuration Management & support to the Customer for Projects, Trials, Operations and Exercises, both remotely and occasionally at Site.

Key skills:

Ideally you'll have experience of Solaris 10 & UNIX / HP-UX & Microsoft Server 2003 / 2008 R2 / 2012 R2 / Windows 7 skills then great, but if you've not got any Solaris skills but great Microsoft Server skills then don't be afraid to apply!

Even better if you also have VMWare V5 / V5.5 experience!

Desirable Skills:

Microsoft Exchange 2003 Oracle 8-10G

Knowledge of PERL Scripting

Knowledge of Powershell

A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered.
