Site Design Engineer

Contract - 12 Months

Hybrid working - mostly remote, Reading office 1-2 times per month

The Role:

You will act as a Design interface between Client and internal stakeholders/external suppliers. Ensuring designs are as per build specification and supporting internal functions to get designs through approval.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of site design scope and feasibility reports for use by Designers and PC's
• Understand client and Shareholder requirements and translate these into concise briefs for use by client partners
• Be a strong advocate for Health and Safety and Quality. Work with the client Design team to identify best practice for Health and Safety.
• Review proposals to consider that the solutions offered by Design suppliers meet the scope requirements, and should they not ensure there is a clearly documented rationale as to why the chosen solution has been selected
• Liaise with client Design, Acquisition and Deployment teams.
• Work with client partners and provide design feedback, resolve Design queries, and drive good practice throughout the supplier base.
• Liaise with shareholder Radio Planners and resolve queries to ensure satisfactory designs
• Review RF compliance including Pro X5 documentation as required to ensure all sites achieve RF compliant solutions
• Review drawings on behalf of client
• Ensuring the designs comply with documentation and design guidance.
• Knowledge of design standards
• Apply drawing reviews with a cost-effective mind-set.

Skills Must have:

Good rounded design experience within telecoms

Understands RF and the design and build process of a project

Mainstream Telco business or a Principal contractor/design consultancy background
