Location: Remote with UK wide ad-hoc travel, and occasional office visits (Reading area)

We have a unique opportunity to join a leading Telecommunication Infrastructure Company as they are looking for an experienced Site Design Engineer with proven CAD experience to join their engineering function. This role will be a permanent role, offering flexible ways of working, with occasional head office visits.

This role involves design and implementation related work, required to facilitate the deployment of passive infrastructure into the Client's site portfolio. The role holder will possess a rounded knowledge and understanding of telecoms site design, including passive infrastructure, active hardware and electrical design.

Responsibilities:

• Lead innovation and ideation of new enclosure product solutions.
• Liaise with enclosure manufacturers to develop new enclosure solutions for customers
• Review products with operators and vendors frequently to ensure they are performing as required and collate and feedback into design variations which are fed back to the manufacturers.
• Attend thermal testing and First Site Installations (FSI's) to ensure development is accurate and sufficient, provide/collate feedback and sign off on products.
• Produce engineering documentation
• Act as initial point of contact for escalations regarding passive enclosure products.
• Oversee production and ongoing revisions to Client's Drawing Requirement documentation, and continually seek to improve ways of working with regards to drawings and the information contained therein. Ensure changes are communicated to Design Suppliers.
• Ensure Code Agreement Drawing requirements are captured in Client's documentation, liaise with Code team to ensure drawings include requisite information.
• Review and provide feedback on Code Drawings from a technical "drawing" perspective.
• Design Audit Programme Technical Support
• Check accuracy of Design Audits completed by external suppliers, approve and reject as necessary.

Skills Required:

• Ideally 3+ yrs experience on Auto CAD
• This role involves CAD setting standards and acting in the capacity of design authority
• Telecoms background, site design experience, site surveys
• Check majority of the designs
• Quality control
