Service Transition Manager (RAN Network Ops)

Contract until Dec 2019

Reading, Berkshire

Service Transition Manager (RAN Network Ops) - you will play a key role in managing/delivering the full lifecycle of Network Service Transition - both establishment of new services, transfer of existing services and the termination of 'end of life' services across the RAN network operations.

My client are looking to bring someone on board on a contract basis who has previously had experience managing the transition of one service provider to another within RAN network ops. Your role will be to work with key business owners to ensure projects are delivered during this transition period and ensuring that there is no disruption to the mobile network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance for service transition projects
  • Introduce and maintain a robust Service Change Management process
  • Ensure new Services have a fully developed end-to-end support structure, including Processes, SLAs, KPIs and OLAs
  • Ensure effective decommissioning of 'end of life' services - including removal of all operational facilities and redundant equipment
  • Ensure Manged Service supplier meets their KPI/SLA obligations
  • Interface with managed service providers, key business stakeholders and end client

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A thorough understanding of the GSM/UMTS/GPRS & LTE system architecture
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering outcome based services in a telecommunications Operator or MSP organisation
  • Previously delivered a full end to end service transition within a RAN network operations environment
  • Experience of indirect management of large teams
  • Experience within a managed service environment
  • Must have a strong understanding and demonstration of Service Management
  • ITIL Certified
  • Experience of working within a project environment
