Job Description

Role: Service Desk Analyst

Location: Fully remote with occasional travel to Basingstoke for training or meeting

Type: Permanent

Alternate Shifts: 0700-1500 (5 days) then 1100-1900 (5 days)

We are looking for Service Desk Analysts for a young attractive startup with a great ethos, providing wonderfully eco-friendly, sustainable solutions in typically poor countries. This is an entry, early development role and full training will be provided on their platform - though a core set of technical skills and customer experience will be required.

Scope of work:

The Service Desk Operations Analysts provide 1st & 2nd level support for all service incidents; real time incident management & customer liaison; change management administration; managing of service requests; operational monitoring; a level of user & service reporting; site & user onboarding.

Experience Required:

Extensive on the job training will be provided, but the following are the entry level skills / experience required for this role.

  • Experience within an I.T. Support Team
  • A demonstrable customer-first attitude and experience of handling customer situations
  • A background in mobile telephony would be an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of modern Information Technology including desktop operating systems, software packages, mobile devices (Smartphones, tablets, etc)
  • A background in ISO / ITIL processes would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent written skills for the production of effective operational documentation
  • Ability to analyse a range of complex System Services issues to effect resolution
  • Sound interpersonal communications skills with the ability to use initiative
  • A flexible 'can-do' attitude and a desire to work in a young, exciting company
  • French language skills are very desirable
