Job Description
Service Asset Configuration Analyst (SACM) - Contract - Oxford.
A global IT services company is searching for a Service Asset Configuration Analyst (SACM) to join their team in Oxford on a contract basis.
Candidates must have previous experience as a Service Asset Support Analyst.
Role:
- Review and maintain CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to monitor and manage all devices and assets with the force(s) area. Identify best use through auditing of database and hardware, cross-checking of servers for relevant devices (e.g. radio's, laptops, mobile data) to meet auditing requirements.
- Troubleshooting, analysing and resolving issues and trends in liaison with the Service Desk, acting as a point of escalation for any issues that cannot be resolved at 1st point of contact.
- Actively encourage users in making more effective use of ICT assets to enable them to work more efficiently.
- Manage and maintain the life-cycle of devices to include provisioning, repairing and decommissioning to ensure efficient and effective best use of assets throughout both Forces.
- Create articles for the knowledge database to ensure effective information sharing within the
- Responsible for the authorised issuance, audit and return of assets through the users employment within the two Forces.
- Responsible for managing the requests for loan hardware, including the recall of loaned items, to ensure the hardware items can be tracked and managed.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a Service Asset Support Analyst.
- Good communication skills (written and oral) with a proven customer focused approach. Must be a team-worker who is flexible and adaptable but can also work with little direct supervision.
- Demonstrable understanding and interest in the function of ICT hardware.
- Good understanding of the principles of an ICT network infrastructure and an understanding of service level agreements.
