Job Description

Senior Transmission Planner. Solihull. 3 Months

The lead Transmission Planning role drives the implementation of the TX Planning Activity.

Responsible for developing and Implementing the TX planning process.
Ensuring accurate and timely creation of Transmission TNE's and Circuit packs.
Resolving complex issues with customer tools.
Constantly monitor the processes to identify causes of failure, or efficiency gains and then implement them.
Report on run rates and individual workloads and flex the workload accordingly.
Point of contact for dealing with escalations and queries from other team members

Main Area of responsibility:-
Key Tasks:
Ensuring that TNE's and Circuit packs are created accurately and in a timely manner for all technologies for both shareholders in time for activation.
Managing the GDC output and quality of TNE's and Circuit packs.
Resolving complex issues with the existing customer network, tools and data.
Analysing past, present and future requirements for TX hardware needed on sites to try and minimise acquisition impacts.
Managing the cessation of decommissioned circuits under the direction of the 3rd Party TX provider.
Process development, implementation, Monitoring and Improvement.
Working with the customer to develop the toolset and test new features
Interfacing to GDC, external partners (e.g. subcontractors, contractors, 3rd party)
Competence Transfer.

Key Competencies:
Good Knowledge of transmission planning and the network design on the MBNL network.
Good SDH, PDH and IP routing / addressing knowledge

Strong Communication Skills both internally and externally
