In Project People, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Tester to work in Dublin - 6 months' contractor.

ROLE SUMMARY

The role of Senior Test Engineer involves requirements analysis, test estimation, test design and execution for Java-based applications and services. Testing will include both manual & automation.

The Senior Test Engineer must be able to take ownership of a project from initiation to completion.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop test cases based on analysis of business and technical requirements.

· Provide accurate estimates of test effort required.

· Coordinate deliverables into test from various stakeholders.

· Act as escalation point for other testers for issues encountered.

· Work with developers and other testers to ensure timely defect resolution.

· Ensure efficient construction and maintenance of automated tests.

· Deploy builds to test environments.

· Design, implement & maintain processes & process documentation.

· Investigate, evaluate & introduce tools, technologies & techniques.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE INDICATORS FOR THIS ROLE

Essential:

· At least five years testing experience.

· At least two years Senior Tester or Test Lead experience.

· Good working knowledge Linux and/or Unix.

· Good working knowledge of SQL query building.

· Functional, Load, Soak and Stress Test experience.

Desirable:

· Experience in Telecoms or a real-time software development environment advantageous.

· Experience of web service testing with tools such as SoapUI.

· Experience of Test Automation/CI tools such as ReadyAPI, Selenium, Jenkins

· Experience of cloud-based environments, particularly AWS

· Experience testing batch jobs with large volumes of data.

· Scripting or Programming Languages such as Java and Groovy.

· Agile / CI experience

· Test Repository tools such as Quality Centre, JIRA.
