I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading IT Managed Services company for a Senior Solution Architect. This contract will be working with the end client - a key company within the Retail industry. For this position we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with experience of delivering an EPOS system across multiple countries.

This is a home/remote working role (UK only).

As Senior Solution Architect you will be responsible for working closely with the end customer and internal teams to design and deliver and EPOS system across multiple countries.

In addition, you will also be responsible for:

* Management. Leads and coaches large designs team to help them identify business opportunities and define customer requirements.
* Authority. Responsible for the definition of major technological projects for customers or the business, communicating these to team members for them to design and implement.
* Cost and risk. May manage a large design team, defining the approach to larger/more complex solution development and acceptance testing, and identifying strategic level risks and remedies.
* Influence. Develops and shares original thinking on significant areas of IT and future direction to influence the division's business strategy.
* Business development. Works with customers to understand their business strategy and develop IT strategies and architecture for significant areas of their business. Helps them see how technological issues should affect their business strategies.
* Requirements and design. Manages a large design team to agree customer requirements and produce the design, setting high level criteria for the design of major solutions and exercising design control over the implementation.
