The Marketing, Media and Intellectual Property Legal (MMI) team is the legal engine room supporting Three's fast moving Marketing and Digital functions. The MMI team works closely to support Three's Digital team which is on a journey of unprecedented growth, investment and diversification, powered by digital platforms, disruptive propositions and customer data. Three is developing how we partner with customers and how we manage their data to deliver a range of digital products and commercial opportunities, ranging from offers and rewards, to targeted advertising, to carrier billing and many more besides. We also support the Marketing and Brand teams, bringing compelling propositions and challenging advertising to the market. The MMI team manages contractual relations with a range of partners, agencies and suppliers. These include marketing and PR agencies, co-marketing partners (such as Go-Binge partners), providers of new applications and services, customer data service providers and device suppliers. We also support the delivery of advertising campaigns and marketing propositions, keep our competitors' advertising honest, manage the intellectual property portfolio and work closely with the new Digital function to deliver cutting-edge products.

The Really Important Part…. What will you do?

We're looking for a talented, versatile and experienced Senior Lawyer to work on the broad range of commercial Marketing and Digital deals the team supports. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded TMT contracts lawyer to work on a range of deals at the cutting edge of data products in the mobile world. You could be crunching customer data flows with a global marketing platform, managing the metrics of a digital agency, working on IP licenses with a video streaming channel or agreeing revenue terms with the next big tech startup. Mobile is driving the tech revolution and this puts you at the heart of it. This is a great opportunity to drive new deals in the rapidly developing world of digital mobile, building strong relationships both within Three and across the industry. You'll be working on ground-breaking customer propositions, developing best practice and new ways of tackling customer challenges. This is tech law in the real world.

Reporting to the Head of Legal: Marketing, Media & Intellectual Property you'll be happy to work independently, including on complex projects. You'll need the ability to view situations from a commercial or wider business perspective (analysing risks and opportunities), consider the deal in the context of the business strategy and deliver the best possible outcomes for Three in a timely manner. You will be comfortable presenting to and influencing senior leadership and you'll become an influential part of Three's business.

The role would suit an experienced contract lawyer with exposure to tech, data, e-commerce, telco or marketing sectors, ready to help drive Three's ambitious digital strategy into the future. You'll need to be comfortable working with senior stakeholders across the business and the Hutchison Group, with a collaborative but challenging mentality. You will gain significant exposure to leadership and your influence will extend beyond a mere legal remit, to providing strategic advice and input to drive better outcomes for our business and customers.
