Senior Health & Safety Manager

2 year FTC

Remote working with travel to Berkshire as needed

Context

The role is to ensure that all H&S projects under the Safety Improvement Programme (SIP) are delivered to time/quality/cost, in order to maintain and continuously improve H&S performance.

Key responsibilities

The Senior H&S Programme Manager will be responsible for managing successful delivery of projects related to Health & Safety under the client's Safety Improvement Programme (SIP).

This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

· Develop and maintenance of SIP Roadmap for delivery of H&S Vision & Goals

· Creating detailed workstream plans to ensure SIP Roadmap delivery

· Assigning task owners and holding these to account for delivery of tasks

· Regular monitoring and reporting of progress to Head of HSEQ, Director HSEQ or SMT

· Escalating risks and issues as they arise to the Project Team

· Monitoring SIP and individual workstreams delivery to time, cost and quality

· Engage directly with the HSEQ team on SIP Delivery and workstream activities

· Be single point of contact for specified external partners engaged to deliver the SIP

· Financial management of all projects related to Health & Safety under SIP

· Project procurement; purchase order management, goods receipting, invoice matching and accounts payable

· Supporting and maintaining end to end Governance processes and controls to facilitate the efficient delivery and tracking of the H&S project

· Project Board submission, attendance and associated approval workflows

· Regular reporting to H&S Governance forums, Shareholders and HS SteerCo

· Support internal and external project reviews and meetings as necessary

· Working with the HSQE team to ensure reporting, dashboards and communication at a project level is accurate and timely to support relevant meetings e.g HS Steerco

· Regular budgeting / forecasting reviews to ensure project costs are accurate

· Work with the wider HSQE team to provide information and support as required, supporting end to end initiatives and day to day team support

· Directly responsible for managing projects within the SIP, or as directed by the Head of Health, Safety, Quality and Environment

· Regular stakeholder and supplier engagement and comms
