Senior Health & Safety Manager

Role Purpose - The role is responsible for ensuring compliance of Health and Safety standards on all mobile sites, supporting strategies for continuous improvement and driving forward a proactive H&S approach.

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the proactive management of Quality Management interdependencies, risks and issues. Initiating corrective actions, recovery plans and interventions required to ensure compliance with UK regulatory and statutory standards and achieve agreed business outcomes and performance targets that represent industry leading practice.
• Responsible for owning and implementing strategies, systems, processes and capabilities required to manage Quality on behalf of the company and shareholders, including all related forums, communications and governance control points.
• Responsible for the maintenance, review and update of all quality management related documentation and communications e.g. QA001 - Quality Assurance on mobile sites.
• Responsible for working collaboratively with delivery / operations eco system to establish and drive best Quality Management practice.
• Responsible for working directly with, and monitoring the performance of, HSQE preferred supplier(s) in the field of Quality Management.
• To ensure all projects and programmes (new or existing) follow Quality Management policy, strategies, systems, processes and controls.

Experience required

• Ideally a background in Construction, Maintenance programs experience e.g. highway, telecoms, rail.
• Ideally a Health and Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH.
• In depth understanding of site health and safety risks, their management controls and relevant legal standards.
• Strong experience of managing health and safety for large scale deployment programmes, ideally in the Telco market.
• Made a big impact e.g. reduces accidents or increasing engagement.
• Success in influencing senior partners.
