Contract: Maternity cover to end of October 2022

Leading Telecommunication sector requires an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to work on an ongoing contract basis from Reading office.

Job Overview:

Senior finance analyst will be responsible for the month end and quarterly forecast processing for LGRA and T&O (headcount), as well as assisting with the People function.

You will work closely with the finance business partners to complete month end journals, prepare WD2 packs including analysis and commentary to enable them to tell the stories behind the numbers. You will be responsible for the completion of balance sheet reconciliations and Schedule F, which used to report to our shareholder. Similarly, the forecasting process involves preparing the Smartview upload files, then building WD2 style reports with commentary and analysis. There is an element of Business Partnering, working with the business and the Finance Business Partner to ensure you are aware of any month end or forecasting changes. Furthermore, you will work with the external auditors to assist with their testing and queries on the areas you support.

Going forward we will look to embrace new technology and data techniques to further improve efficiencies and you will need to be willing and able to embrace this change.

The successful candidate will have the ability to combine/redefine processes with this new technology; this will be vital to the success of the team.

Skills Required:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - finalist will be considered.

Smartview experience beneficial

Reporting and forecasting experience beneficial

Organisation and prioritisation skills essential

Knowledge of business and cost drivers beneficial
