Job Description

Working for a major telecoms company in Berkshire, we are looking for an experienced Data/Information Quality Analyst to support exciting transformation projects and data migration strategy.

MUST HAVE - experience of working with large scale customer data sets and complex programmes.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in formal as well as informal settings.
  • Must have strong experience of data quality analysis using a data quality management framework.
  • Must have demonstrable experience in data preparation (profiling, analysis, reporting and cleansing) in large-scale data migrations.
  • Database knowledge and experience of using SQL for querying databases; experience with IBM db2 and Oracle will be desirable.
  • Understanding of ETL & Datawarehouse concepts in technologies such as DataStage, Querying language such as PLSQL, Cloudera (Hadoop) etc.
  • Experience in using Talend v7.x, Data-Profiling module or other industry standard Data Management and Data Quality tools will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work closely with peers and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience of drilling into detailed technical data analysis as well as having a non-technical conversation to explain impact and solution recommendations to Business Owners.
  • Self-starter and ability to work under general direction within a clearly defined accountability framework.
  • Has a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Enforce data quality best practices in the team while having appreciation and ability to embrace pragmatic approach should the situation demand.
  • Experience of working with data in telecom industry.
  • Has an appreciation of the wider teams outside own specialisation and understand how own role fits.
  • Highly adaptable with a strong bias towards improving customer experience.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
