Senior Data Engineer

Location: London

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Client's Consumer Cloud Service - App Gallery team based in our London Office.

What you will do

• Employ big data solutions and build the ETL pipelines that power the lifecycle of App Gallery operation from serving, search, recommendation, discovery, and personalization.
• Use analytics tools like SQL, Python, and R to translate data into meaningful insights and share with project members and stakeholders.
• Define, develop and present executive-level insights and reports to senior leadership to support business decision making.
• Support and collaborate with a global App Gallery team.

You must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field of study.
• 3 years of relevant work experience, including experience in big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Storm, Flink, etc.
• Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Java, SQL, or Python.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Useful to have

• Familiar with ensuring compliance with local privacy regulations like GDPR.
• Experience with a data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau).
• Experience with basic modeling in Python or R.
• Experience in statistics, business modeling, and quantitative analysis.
• Experience in technical leadership and people management.
