Role: Senior Cloud Architect

Location: Dublin/Republic of Ireland

Length: Permanent Role

The Role:

A leading global IT company are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join their team in order to drive Cloud Adoption for their customers.

The role will involve building a detailed understanding of the client's offerings and services and how they apply to the Irish market.

You will guide the design of Cloud solutions in line with best practice, support the transition of solutions to operational support and work alongside the team to develop customer propositions and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and coordinate Cloud architecture across various areas within the organisation.
• Design Authority for Cloud Solutions.
• Operational support of Cloud Solutions.
• Cloud Native Application development.
• Data management, analytics and protection.
• Security, privacy and compliance.
• Designing highly scalable, secure solutions.
• Provide coaching of more junior team members.

Key Skills and Experience:

• At least 10+ years solid industry experience, with 3 years working with Cloud technologies (ideally with Azure)
• Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, information technology discipline or equivalent.

• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of designing and implementing Cloud solutions and migrating solutions into the Cloud.

• Demonstrable technical solution design skills.
• Strong technical skills and proven analytical and trouble shooting ability.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and excellent oral and written communication and presentation.
• Ability to review architecture designs, to identify issues and risks, escalating them as needed.
• A background in applications development is desirable.
