Office base - Reading area, but flexible working client visits required

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading telecoms infrastructure services company.

Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a highly driven Senior Business Development Manager to join their team. Within this newly created role, you will report into and partner closely with the Chief Commercial Officer in identifying and leading the end-to-end creation of strategic business opportunities in order to drive significant value and growth. This will include defining the product & proposition, how the proposition will be delivered and the charging model.

As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will undertake the following remit:

  • Create the business case and lead the stakeholder engagement (including board level) to ensure alignment and support.
  • Fully negotiate to contract completion with all 3rd parties (including delivery partners and customers)
  • Consistently build shareholder value - Identify opportunities and trends in the market, selecting our big bets and building an end to end plan to deliver new propositions to our customers
  • Direct business development and sales activity, primarily focused on new customers
  • Oversee all the party contracts / relationships from deal conception to close
  • Achievement of revenue and margin growth targets in the business plan

About you:

  • Experience in mobile network and/or TowerCo environment is highly desirable
  • Experience in leading commercial negotiations
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard legal and financial mechanisms with commercial contracts
  • Proven ability in analysing commercial financial outcomes
  • Experienced in defining and delivering strategies that deliver growth
  • Experience in solution/consultative sales through customer relationships
  • Have highly developed solution selling, customer relations and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively consult and influence chief executives
  • Ability to manage multi-faceted issues, complete in-depth analysis where there may be significant levels of risk and ambiguity
  • Strong analytical skill set and excel modelling capability
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries and technical and non-technical audiences
