Job Description

Project People are supporting a primary school based in East London who are seeking to appoint an SEND teacher from January 2020 on an interim basis for a full year.

The successful person will have experience specialising in SEMH - children with very complex needs who are in need of an inspirational and determined professional; one who can deliver a therapeutic and creative approach to learning and remove barriers. You will also have an understanding of ACEs and how gaps may be addressed to recover some behaviours.

You will be joining a school that prides itself on being inclusive and diverse, within a purpose built, semi open-plan building. There is additional Early Years provision , which comprises two Nurseries and five Reception classes opened since 1994. A new dining hall was built during 2008. Four new classrooms and a new music room were built in 2013. The capacity is 1200 pupils, but as the school grows to a seven form entry primary school - there will be nearer 1500 pupils attending when full.
