SD-WAN 2nd Line Support - Security Cleared - Bracknell - Permanent

A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered

Provide direct technical support for SD-WAN Services as part of the 2nd Line Team and assist in the day to day operations and duties of the SD-WAN Service.

To provide technical support relating to SD-WAN, Certes Encryption, Edge Virtualisation and Access Solution equipment (Dell EMC VPE).

The activities will involve the support of the New SD-WAN Solution (Edge Devices and Orchestration) and its interaction with other Network products.

The types of activities to be undertaken are:

  • Take and log calls on the service management system from Customer 1st line desk
  • Network Monitoring & Event management via Orchestrator tools
  • Support workarounds, solutions and mitigations for identified issues
  • Support and identified issues requiring more detailed and in-depth analysis and escalate to 3rd
  • Maintain full and accurate records and progress all customer fault reports and technical enquiries
  • Work on 24x7 Shift

Experience Required

2nd line engineers require a NOC experience and network technical knowledge of the Juniper, Cisco (product training will be provided).

  • Experience working in a '2nd' line NOC support group
  • Ideally have knowledge of MS Service Center Support tool, SD-WAN, Cisco, Juniper, Certes etc
  • Thorough knowledge of network technologies
  • Ideally have been in a support role in a WAN environments, i.e. has knowledge of IP, Routing, SD-WAN solutions, encryption, edge virtualisation (VMWare or Adva)
