Job Description
We are currently looking for a Salesforce Development Manager. This is a permanent role that can be based of London or Witney. The job is currently remote, however there will be a couple of days in the office once Covid restrictions ease.
This role will be required to:
- Lead the development and operations of the Salesforce platform to meet the dynamic business needs
- Lead and develop the team's capabilities and working practices to improve velocity, release quality and service availability
- Manage our key suppliers of Salesforce, Kaptio and Travel Service Providers
Main requirements:
- Experience of managing a Salesforce development and engineering team, preferably Service Cloud
- Strong experience of leading a CRM (sales or service) system development function from requirement to release demonstrating competency in business analysis, development, testing, release and warranty
- Experience of leading a technical support and application operations function demonstrating competency in prioritised incident resolution, problem management, and proactive performance monitoring
- Strong experience of practising Agile (Kanban or SCRUM)
- At least one of the following Salesforce certifications: Administrator; Platform App Builder, Platform Developer
- Demonstrate leadership of a software development and application operation team which includes developing the capabilities of that team resulting in improved productivity, reliability and security
- Be passionate about understanding how your team can improve the business performance metrics of the Sales & Service teams
- Have the gravitas to be able to engage with senior stakeholders to discuss business strategy, (Agile) Product Ownership maturity and performance, service KPIs for delivery and operations
- Ever-learning and open to adopting new ways-of-working to foster a continuous improvement culture
- Able to effectively manage a cross-skilled team that may include members from other functions or have some fluidity as we mature and grow
Responsibilities:
- Complete the delivery of the Salesforce & Kaptio product within the Journey Desk Replacement project. Enhancing the MVP to meet business requirements, rolling out to all users and complete transition off the legacy system.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a prioritised backlog to support business need
- Develop the capabilities and ways-of-working within the team and with other teams to improve delivery flow, safe and secure releases.
- Create and deliver aroadmap of in-house developments, Kaptio and Salesforce's major releases
- Manage removal of technical and operational debt
- Lead the diagnosis of 3rd line incidents, liaising with suppliers where necessary, and then restoring service
- Define the team's performance objectives and assess progress
- Develop and nurture a culture of excellence in Agile development, engineering and operations i.e. DevOps
- Manage the commercial and support relationship with our key suppliers
