Reporting and Information Manager



We have an exciting opportunity for a Reporting and Information Manager to join our busy team.

The Reporting and Information Manager will own, drive and develop the Reporting and Information team in report and information provision, remodelling our values and behaviours and acting as an outward ambassador for the BI Team.

The Reporting and Information Manager will be the authority and provide leadership and guidance on source data construction, report development, design considerations, performance improvements and monitoring.

The Reporting and Information Manager will develop and apply best practice and expertise knowledge in all areas under remit of ownership, creating and delivering a defined strategic roadmap for reporting and information future.

Key Responsibilities of the Reporting and Information Manager include:

Strategy and Leadership

  • Provide leadership to the Reporting and Information team, accountable for managing team workload and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and refinement of pipeline of work to deliver all aspects of issues, reporting and development in an efficient and effective fashion, aligned to critical business timeframes and deadlines.
  • Lead the team to build strategic objectives and plan in line with BI roadmap.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders within the business and the rest of the BI team to understand future team requirements and plan accordingly.
  • Be an ambassador for the Reporting and Information team across the business through appropriate meetings around BAU and projects.


  • Manage, oversee and assist with BAU work and report production including review and continual development of the daily and overall report processes/controls to improve the performance and reliability of production and deliver business efficiencies.
  • Lead the team to deliver best practice report design against the requirements of the business, inspiring and driving the team to challenge requirements for maximum value add.
  • Own reporting systems and supplier relationships to drive best practice use of BI tools across the business.
  • Drive data usage to be strategic goal through chairing BI Forum

Be the overall authority, drive and assist team with:

  • Requirements scoping and challenge
  • Innovative design of dashboards
  • Efficiencies and planning improvements throughout the team
  • BI tool set development
  • Report catalogue
  • Issue route cause analysis, ownership and solutions
  • Testing and implementation of changes
  • Providing support to other projects as required and working together with data and other teams

  • Guide, recommend and develop strategic improvements in reporting with well-informed view of industry best practice; this should include small enhancements through to larger system and strategic approach changes.
  • Be the authority to guide, scope and develop solutions for all aspects of reporting, data production, access and self-service reporting to deliver a best-in-class solution for reporting within the business
  • Continually and proactively identify, develop, and plan improvements in the reporting and information processes within the data warehouse
  • Work with Head of BI and other BI teams to plan and deliver the BI vision for the business
  • Drive and advise on major changes to reporting structure, provision, and accessibility

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver impact analysis on shareholders Interface requirements and support shareholders to upgrade/migrate the systems to deliver business strategies.
  • Build & maintain effective working relationships with all internal teams and Shareholders, acting as a key senior stakeholder to all BI projects and program.
  • Work closely with clients to gather business requirements, understand data and communicate project plans/ updates etc.

Compliance & Security

To support and contribute actively to regulatory compliance, health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers.

The successful Reporting and Information Manager will have

  • Qlik/Tableau/PowerBI experience
  • MS SQL and associated services, ie SSRS
  • Business Analysis

  • Agile and waterfall management

  • BICC implementation and control
