Job Description
Reporting and Data Manager
To provide the Programme Director and the Programme Acquisition Delivery Team with a comprehensive reporting and data analysis service that provides vital reports, statistics and analysis that underpins all reporting, tracking and forecasting elements associated with delivering the London Acquisition baseline plan.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Work with all relevant stakeholders in the programme to understand the various sources of the programme related data and the various stakeholder reports that service stakeholder needs to understand and track delivery performance encompassing the critical attributes - Target, Actual & Forecast
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop improve & maintain a specific reporting mechanism
Identify from the various data and reporting areas that form the current London reporting landscape where key improvements can be made in validating data, improving accuracy and where necessary removing ambiguity and complexity
From the identified improvement areas, architect and implement solutions that provide London Acquisition reports to fulfil stakeholder needs extracting and aligning data from 'in house' systems covering Omnix, Evenflow, Reporting BI systems and complex spreadsheets & Access databases
Maintain and manage a coherent and accurate reporting mechanism that fully supports the London Programme's requirements on a daily and weekly basis at all stakeholder levels ranging from reports and data that underpin routine Acquisition reviews up to providing rolled up summary reports for Senior and Executive stakeholders encompassing the critical attributes - Target, Actual & Forecast
Governance & Control
To operate governance mechanisms bringing together key data providers and report recipients in order to align, improve and at times trouble shoot the various information sources that above all else ensures fit for purpose reporting with high accuracy
Stakeholder Management
To liaise with key stakeholders and stakeholder groups who are connected to the London Programme who specifically own key data or are key recipients of data and reports covering the London Acquisition elements of the Programme understanding their requirements and delivering to them accurate information on time
The key stakeholder groups will range from the Acquisition Managers, Acquisition Specialists, Shareholder PMO teams and central support functions and well as the Programme Director and the Programme Leadership team
Experience (technical, managerial, industry)
Considerable experience in the development and production of reports generated from complex sources of data with in a cellular network roll out environment
Experience of working under pressure in a complex & changing environment
Desirable: Working knowledge of mobile network roll out processes, preferably in a network share / network consolidation environment
Skills & Knowledge
Expert / Practitioner level knowledge of Excel - Working knowledge of relational databases, scripting/ programme languages and reporting packages such as business objects
Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to manage stakeholders of varying levels
Must be highly numerate
Clear & concise communication skills
Accuracy & attention to detail, completer / finisher mentality
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Word & PowerPoint
