Release & Configuration Manager - a new contract opportunity has arisen working for a key client within Defence. This position requires security clearance so applicants must be willing to undergo checks.

As Release & Configuration Manager you will be responsible managing and delivering the configuration and release management requirements , which include:

• Developing and maintaining local config management processes
• Ensuring accurate and timely update of the hardware/software serial item controlled configuration schedules
• Managing risks and resolving issues that might impact release management schedules
• Planning release windows and cycles
• Managing communications and releases with interdependent relationships / teams
• Communicating release plans and changes
• Ensuring quality standards are maintained (ISO 2001)
• Work closely with the Test Manager
• Help develop automation tools and scripts where necessary for building, integrating and deploying software releases

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with interdependent teams and reporting back to the business
• Experienced in Release management and configuration management
• Experience of Service Delivery procedures
• ITIL Service management
• Ideally have experience of working within the defence environment (or similar) with protectively marked material procedures
