Set the Scene

We are looking for a Release Analyst to learn and provide a range of roles with the Release and Deployment team. The role will involve providing Release Management, Patch Management and Defect Management to ensure quality deliverables reach our client. Ensure and record that each stage of the release lifecycle has met a set criteria of requirements and is fit to be delivered to our customer, Ensure that SW patching is carried out in a timely manner and where we identify defects these are fixed and solutions delivered appropriately.

This is a varied role with many aspects to keep things interesting, the successful applicant will learn all aspects of Release, Patch and Defect Management and work with other team members in delivering governance to the account.

Applicants should be able to work as part of a team or independently, be improvement and process focused and be adept at accurate record keeping, with good attention to detail. This role offers to the right applicant an opportunity to progress in a short space of time.

Role/Responsibilities

Reporting to the Release and Deployment Manager, this role sits within a small but respected team and will have engagement with many other teams on the account. This non-technical role will support the Project and technical teams to deliver to our customer estate. Work will include but is not limited to creation and maintenance of team processes and documentation, managing dependencies, providing improvement ideas within both the team and other areas.

The successful candidate will be tracking Defects through their Defect Management tool Jira and chasing and expediting to ensure there are resolutions.
