PROJECT MANAGER - HYBRID- CONTRACT

Leading Managed Services Provider in the Defence Sector is looking to hire an experienced Project Manager. Will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects using Agile delivery methods. This requires projects to be delivered to time, quality and budget and that you engage project resources at the right time and place for the right cost.

Location of work is Telford, Shropshire - for occasional travel to Telford.

Duration: 3 Months rolling contract

Agile knowledge and skills required include:
* Scrum master or Product Owner experience
* Knowledge and/or experience of working in an Agile Manner
* Ability to self-organise
* Ability to work in an autonomous manner
* Comfortable communicating at various levels within both Fujitsu & the customer organisation
* Commercial awareness
* Knowledge of Jira

Experience:

  • Knowledge/ Awareness of varied datacentre server technologies.
  • Previous experience migrating business services out of data centres onto a Cloud platform.
  • Previous experience migrating business services from a supplier-hosted DC to a customer-owned DC.
  • Experience delivering application transformation projects using agile delivery methods would be an advantage.

When asked to perform the role of Product Owner in an agile project, the PM will be responsible for:

  • Work with like-minded team members to undertake prioritised deliverables (including storage designs and processes) as agreed with Product Owner working within a Sprint Structure.
  • Work with client / internal & 3rd Party stakeholders, own the scope of the prioritised deliverables of Sprint content (Product Owner / Proxy Product Owner relationship).
  • Work with other agile delivery teams, Client and Live services delivery teams to ensure that migrations are delivered to business strategy and achieving maximum business benefit.
  • Manage all key internal, external & 3rd party stakeholder relationships throughout the release cycle to ensure that the planned delivery is aligned to their expectations.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with delivery teams to ensure the impact of scope and delivery decisions is shared, discussed and can be accounted for appropriately.
  • Present and report on sprint progress and deliverables to ensure senior stakeholders are kept informed of key successes and any issues arising
