Project Accountant - Fixed term contract (12 months) - Berkshire based

A reputed client in Telecom sector is looking for talented accountant with strong experience In IFRS 16 on contract basis, they are offering hybrid working, competitive salary and benefits.Please find further details below.

Main Purpose for the role:

• Support review and enhancement of the company's IFRS 16 implementation.
• Lead revenue clearing project for Property Opex. Other ad hoc projects as required.
• Implement it - they are currently using excel with large volumes of data
• Over 18,000 leases - They do not have a system - they use Excel only
• Interaction with shareholders - goes in to month end so not totally stand alone
• Large amounts of data, no system until 6 months from now, may be part of migration to new system - so someone that has Implemented IFRS 16 would be an advantage
• Retail is good as they have a number of leases, Leisure,
• Big enough that they are doing it in house
• Someone coming out of an accounting firm - Big 4 or Top Tier etc or industry as they are more likely to be hands on.
