Job Description

Programme Director is urgently required by our Global IT Services Client for a 12-month contract to be based in London (with travel to Nordics). To be successful you will have the below experience:

- financial services sector

- Previously dealt with Nordics region

- Previously worked for an IT Outsourcing organisation

- datacentre migration experience

- worked on large bids (£50 - £100m).

- business transformation

- Been the lead on transition/transformation commercial conversations

- experienced in sizing and shaping programmes

- Very strong communication skills

The Programme Director will own the overall leadership and has ultimate accountability for the successful delivery of complex, global programs. Will own the overall program direction and vision in conjunction with the business unit and customer. Is accountable for the effective management of the projects or functional activities within programs, their risks, issues, conflicts, priorities, resources and communications, ensuring delivery of the new capabilities and benefits. Is responsible for maintaining the linkages between programs and the organisation's strategic direction, ensuring contracted customer's strategy and business targets are met by program deliverables. The Senior Program Director will be the main driving force throughout a program and region, managing stakeholders and program/s to mutual benefit.

Key Accountabilities

 Owns overall program direction and vision.

 Addresses the entire business change by shaping and inspiring the change journey

 Is responsible for ensuring the linkages are maintained between programs and the organisation's strategic direction

 Directs the Management of the production of plans for the delivery of multiple projects in partnership with customers and business to ensure acceptance, closedown and handover to service

 Has overall control of program implementation.

 Responsible for establishing program/s, securing sufficient resources and monitoring progress

 Directs the management of the business and program risks and ensures the production of an effective plan and risk assessment so that timescales and program costs are understood and underwritten by all by the relevant stakeholders

 Identifies new business opportunities  Ensures that formal review procedures are used

 Ensures that the impact on the business area's Profit and Loss (P&L) due to program activities within the scope is clearly visible and that all contingency usage is signed-off by the appropriate governance authority

 Is accountable for directing the tracking of program costs and supporting business units in meeting payment milestones

 Responsible for ensuring that the aims of programs and projects continue to be aligned with evolving business needs

 Responsible for commissioning reviews that formally assess the achievements of the programs and the benefits realised from the investment

 Provides leadership and guidance to program team/s as well as setting strategic direction and vision

 Supports personal and professional development within program team/s and wider community

 Supports the wider program and project management role family by helping to shape the intellectual property of the family
