Job Description

Process Architect/Release Lead (Release Management, Release Process Architect, Data Centre, AWS, Oracle, PLSQL) is urgently required by our Global IT Services Company for an initial 3 months rolling contract, to be based remotely from home.

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Must have experience of working as a Release Process Architect, with experience of undertaking large scale migration from Data Centre to AWS Cloud.
  • Experience of Oracle to PostgreSQL
  • A recognised expert in Release Management process and tooling
  • Demonstrable experience
  • Dedicated Datacentre to Cloud move
  • Large Legacy Application set
  • Banking or Retail experience
  • Understand, challenge and work with Constraints
  • Balance speed and risk, control and flexibility
  • Understand the application and environment and technical constraints and limitations
  • Review the processes at a detailed level
  • Review the tooling used and available
  • Recommend specific changes in process and or tooling that will work in the context
  • Articulate and influence direction both to management and to teams
  • Desirables: agile, waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
  • Build relationships with current release team and customer
  • Build requirements for future release approach
  • Challenge existing methods practices and constraints with solid experience but with sensitivity and reasoned arguments
