Our Client who are a well known mobile network provider have just completed a 5 year strategy with a plan laid out of a view of where they want to go with their new subsidiary and from a delivery and capability perspective and now need to implement this. They need to now bring this to life for the rest of this year and set up for the future.

This role is to take what the obligations are and understand the regulations, work out what the gaps are across the business and look at functional areas and process and controls and what is needed in order to build them in a structured way so they can go into BAU. Gap analysis, drafting and process is key along with process writing. Consistency is processes needs to be written.

Experience

  • Compliance, Ofcom and process experience especially process writing is the key for this role

This means they have 2 key focus's delivering the strategy and compliance so they are ready for any audit. This is a set up role/project ensure processes and compliance are set and then it will go into the BAU phase as business owners will run their own controls.

There are controls of governance to create as Smarty is a start up so need controls, process and governance in place to enable them to demonstrate to an auditor the business is being managed correctly.

Job purpose:

    • Own and manage all the process and governance requirements for new subsidiary in relation to its C3 Compliance obligations
    • Maintain strong relationships with the compliance team, internal and external auditors
    • Work across the team to ensure all process and governance activities are understood, perform thorough gap analysis and agree business owners for all processes and controls.
    • Own and manage a roadmap of activities in support of our C3 compliance obligations
    • Ensure the roadmap of activities has buy in across the senior team and Compliance
    • Report and track our progress to plan managing risks and issues in an effective and timely manner
    • Own the drafting of all documents, version management and sign off with stakeholders
    • Create and maintain a portfolio of process and governance documents. Ensure these are robust, managed and adhere to best practice.
    • Define and implement a cadence to review and maintain all key processes across the SMARTY team setting out clear roles and accountabilities across process owners.
  • Knowledge and Experience:
    • Support and manage all compliance documentation requirements with the Compliance team and the auditor
    • road experience in telecommunications regulation
    • Experience with Ofcom General Conditions and consumer protection regulations specifically
    • Significant experience in capturing and documenting business processes and controls
    • Strong background in managing programmes of activity
    • Experience in preparing for and coordinating audit activity
    • Strong presentation and communication skills
    • You will be a confident communicator with strong proactive analytical skills, experienced in working up to senior management level. You will have the ability to manage programmes and communicate it in the most appropriate way to the relevant stakeholders

    Key responsibilities.

    • Challenging and creating recommendations, based on solid analysis that allows SMARTY to make informed decisions in regards to commercial and targeting activities
    • Communicating the results of the analysis in an inspiring, compelling and interesting way
    • Communicating technical data analysis, and interpreting it for non-technical stakeholders
    • Developing analytical tools and models that enable the company to identify commercial opportunities, to optimise customer targeting and to maximise the value of the data it holds
    • Using your business knowledge and expertise to generate business-relevant insights within the cross functional teams you are a part of. These teams shape and deliver change across the business in support of the key KPI's and goals
